Goldendoodle Puppies for Sale in Singapore

5.0 from 41 Google reviews

The honest part first: Goldendoodles are not HDB-approved, so this page is for condo and landed homes. The draw is real — a Golden's warmth with a low-shedding coat — and so is the trade: a salon schedule instead of a vacuum. Prices here run $4,000 to $8,000 elsewhere; ours are $3,800 to $4,988, all-in.

From $3,800 all-in. Private housing only. No add-ons quietly billed later.

Can you keep a Goldendoodle in an HDB flat? No

The Goldendoodle is a cross of two non-approved breeds, the Golden Retriever and the Poodle, and it is not on the HDB-approved breed list at any size. HDB flats may keep one dog of an approved small breed; condos and landed homes may keep up to three dogs, subject to the estate's own rules, which is where the Goldendoodle belongs in Singapore.

We tell you this before you fall for the photos. If you're set on a low-shedding companion but live in an HDB flat, our HDB-approved breeds guide maps the crosses that ARE on the list, the Maltipoo and Cavapoo among them. Private housing readers: carry on, the rest of this page is yours.

Goldendoodle Temperament: Golden Warmth, Poodle Brains

The Goldendoodle inherits the best of a famous pairing: the Golden Retriever's gentle, people-loving nature and the Poodle's quick, trainable intelligence. The result is a sociable, affectionate family dog that bonds hard, learns fast, and treats visitors as friends it hasn't met yet. For many Singapore families it's the dream — the Golden they always wanted, without the fur on every surface.

The honest footnotes. First, this is a deeply social cross that wants to be part of family life, not left alone all week; boredom and loneliness turn its cleverness into mischief. Second, both parent breeds are active, so the exercise below is real, not a formality. Third, a crossbreed's temperament can vary a little between puppies, so we tell you what we see in each one rather than reciting a brochure.

Cross-shopping the original? The Golden Retriever gives you complete predictability and heavy shedding; the Labradoodle is the Labrador-based cousin. All three sit in the same price range with us.

Can a Goldendoodle Be Left Alone During Work Hours?

Moderately, once mature and genuinely exercised, but this is a companion cross that thrives on company. A well-exercised adult naps through a workday contentedly; an under-exercised or lonely one gets anxious and destructive. Weekends and evenings that belong to the dog are the real contract here.

The room needs the usual tropical basics — ventilation, shade, water — plus a puzzle toy to occupy that busy brain, and the exercise and grooming routines below decide the rest.

Good fit if

  • Private housing and a sociable, active family
  • You want low shedding and accept the grooming
  • Someone walks and engages the dog daily

The Coat: Low-Shedding, High-Maintenance, Honestly

This is the section that sells the breed and the one most listings gloss over. The Goldendoodle's wavy-to-curly coat is genuinely low-shedding, which is the whole appeal, and for many allergy-sensitive homes it's a real answer where a Golden never could be. Coats vary: the more Poodle in the mix (an F1b, for instance), the curlier and lower-shedding it tends to be. We'll tell you honestly what each puppy's coat looks like it will become.

But here's the trade, stated plainly: a coat that doesn't shed is a coat that keeps growing, and a growing coat mats without work. Plan on brushing several times a week down to the skin, and a professional groom every 6 to 8 weeks. You are swapping the vacuum for a grooming budget, not escaping maintenance altogether. Owners who go in expecting that love the breed; owners who don't get a surprise at the first matting.

Goldendoodle Size, Coat and Lifespan

Honest numbers for a cross whose size depends on its Poodle parent.

Goldendoodle Size, Coat and Lifespan
TraitWhat to expect
Adult weightMini roughly 10 to 15 kg; medium and standard 15 to 30 kg
HeightAround 35 to 60 cm at the shoulder, by size variant
CoatWavy to curly, low-shedding; cream, gold, apricot or red
LifespanAbout 10 to 15 years, smaller sizes tending to live longer
ExerciseAround an hour daily in the cool hours; loves water and games
GroomingBrush several times a week; professional groom every 6 to 8 weeks

Because a cross's adult size can vary, we tell you the expected size for each specific litter, so you can plan for the dog you'll actually have, not a guess.

The $500+ Starter Kit Every Goldendoodle Goes Home With

Every Goldendoodle leaves us with a starter kit worth $500 and up: more than 30 items across eight categories, a playpen, a carrier, grooming tools, puppy food, outdoor gear, toilet training supplies, oral health care, and toys. For this coat the brush is the tool that earns its keep, and on delivery day we show you how to keep that curly coat mat-free between grooms.

On delivery day, Nelson or Kim walks you through every item: how to use it, and how it fits into your Goldendoodle's daily care. Most of the questions new owners would otherwise ask later are answered before we leave your home.

Goldendoodle vs Golden Retriever vs Labradoodle

Three ways to the same warm, family temperament, with one real choice at the centre: coat. The Golden Retriever is the fully predictable original and pays for it in heavy, year-round shedding. The Goldendoodle trades a little of that predictability for a low-shedding coat and a salon schedule. The Labradoodle is the Labrador-based version of the same idea, often a touch more energetic.

All three are private-housing breeds in Singapore, all need real daily exercise, and with us the price, the starter kit, and the aftercare are identical. Allergies or hair-free floors point to a Doodle; benchmark predictability points to the Golden. Message us your priorities and we'll tell you straight which fits.

Quick comparison

  • Golden: fully predictable, heavy shedding
  • Goldendoodle: low-shed coat, salon schedule, some variance
  • Labradoodle: Lab-based, often a little more energetic

Goldendoodle Health: What We Check and What to Watch

Every Goldendoodle goes home vet-checked, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. Crossbreeds often benefit from hybrid vigour, but honest owners still watch the risks both parent breeds carry: hip and elbow joints in the larger sizes, so controlled growth and no forced running before maturity; and ears, because a hairy, floppy Doodle ear traps moisture in our humidity and needs regular checking and gentle cleaning. Keeping the coat around the ears trimmed helps.

Feeding is simple: your puppy comes with the food it is already eating, portioned for its size, and any change should be gradual over a week. See the puppy health checks explained guide.

Goldendoodle FAQs

Can I keep a Goldendoodle in an HDB flat?

No. The Goldendoodle is a cross of two non-approved breeds, the Golden Retriever and the Poodle, and it is not on the HDB-approved list at any size. Condos and landed homes may keep up to three dogs, which is where the Goldendoodle belongs in Singapore. HDB readers: our HDB-approved breeds guide maps the low-shedding companion crosses that IS on the list, like the Maltipoo and Cavapoo.

How much does a Goldendoodle cost in Singapore?

Goldendoodle prices in Singapore commonly run $4,000 to $8,000, with multigenerational and mini sizes at the top. At Curious Tails, Goldendoodle puppies are $3,800 to $4,988, and that price already includes the $500+ starter kit, free home delivery and setup, and a free first training lesson with an AVS-certified trainer.

Do Goldendoodles really not shed?

Low-shedding is the honest phrase, not no-shedding. A Goldendoodle with a wavier or curlier coat, especially an F1b with more Poodle in the mix, sheds very little and suits many allergy-sensitive homes; a flatter-coated one sheds more. No cross is a cast-iron guarantee, so we tell you each puppy's coat type honestly rather than promising hypoallergenic magic. Either way it is a world away from a Golden's heavy shed.

How much grooming does a Goldendoodle need?

This is the real trade-off, and every honest Doodle page says so: a low-shed coat is a high-maintenance coat. It does not drop hair on your sofa, but it grows continuously and mats without work, so plan on brushing several times a week and a professional groom every 6 to 8 weeks. You swap the vacuum for a salon schedule. Budget it before you buy.

How big does a Goldendoodle get?

It depends on the Poodle parent. Medium and standard Goldendoodles commonly reach 15 to 30 kg, while mini Goldendoodles (from a toy or miniature Poodle) stay smaller. We tell you the expected adult size for each litter honestly, because a cross's size can vary and you deserve to plan for the dog you'll actually have.

How much exercise does a Goldendoodle need?

A genuine hour a day for most, split across the cool hours: a proper walk before 9am and another after 6pm, never hard midday exertion. Both parent breeds are active and clever, so mental work, training games and a puzzle feeder keep the Doodle brain busy. Many love water, so a dog-friendly swim is a perfect Singapore energy-burner.

How do I know I am getting a genuine mini Goldendoodle?

It is a fair worry, and a topical one: Singapore has seen buyers take pet shops to the small claims tribunal after their "mini Goldendoodle" turned out to be a different cross or grew far bigger than promised. Protect yourself the simple way. Buy only from an AVS-licensed shop you can verify on the public registry, ask about both parent breeds and the expected adult size, and meet the puppy in person before you commit. We are upfront about every puppy's cross and the size it is likely to reach, and we would rather you walk in clear-eyed than surprised a year later.

What happens after I reserve a Goldendoodle?

You place a deposit, and we board your puppy for free, food and lodging covered, until you're ready. Delivery is scheduled around your availability, and we set up the playpen and walk you through all 30+ starter-kit items, including the coat-care routine, before we leave.
